I had a wonderful stay, enjoying the fantastic quality breakfast and the lovely gardens surrounding the hotel, which made my city strolls even more delightful. it was a perfect base for exploring both the lush Eskrigg Nature Reserve, just over a kilometer away, and the historic Lochmaben Castle, almost 5 km from the hotel, giving me plenty of opportunities for walking and sightseeing during my visit.

charming hotel with lovely scenery but outdated rooms

The scenic views provided a calming experience throughout my stay. The gardens were well-maintained, offering a peaceful retreat each morning.

Some areas of the room felt outdated and could benefit from a refresh.

    comfy accommodations
    good food options
    distracting dining area

Had a fantastic time with friends! We visited the stunning Grey Mare's Tail Waterfall and spent some time at the local golf club. The accommodations were comfy, and we loved having good food options right there. Perfect for relaxation after our adventures! Definitely a spot to return to for future trips.

I found the dining area a bit distracting with the TV playing football nearby, which took away from the dining experience.

    cozy atmosphere
    delicious breakfast
    spotty wi-fi

Had a cozy one-night stopover here and loved the relaxed vibe with the library nook and garden area to unwind. The breakfast spread was delicious, and chilling in the lounge made it feel like home! Just a heads up, the Wi-Fi could be a bit spotty, but it didn’t ruin the experience. 😊
